If there was a bright light shining onto Aldrins boot there would be a massive shadow of that light on the LEM. There is no shadow.<br /><br />Also the fact that Aldrin can be seen whilst in the LEMs shadow is quite normal in photography. Your photography advisor is no expert.<br /><br />You also don't understand how retroreflectors work. The beam that is sent out is dispersed and it is relatively easy to hit the reflector form Earth.
